Not to get off topic or anything but you should post your time slips for the faster 1/4 list...you'd be right near the top if not the fasted with a 13.0!

Maybe for this site, but there are several guys out here running 12.9 or 12.8. We have had very cool temps for the past several days. It is supposed to be 66 tonight. I ran a 12.9 with my '05 GTO with slicks so I know this Camaro can do it without. As for posting my time slips, I never thought to keep em since I race every week with my Trans Am, but when I go tonight I will keep it and post it later this weekend. The situation was the same for the LS2 GTOs, the manual was a tad quicker in the 1/4 and the auto quicker in the 0-60. I have never been able to figure out why everyone always thinks the stick is so much faster.

I think a stick is faster once you get past the first and second gear.

It hasn't shown with anyone I have ever raced. If that is the case then I could use the paddle shifters and be fine.

SRT8's are sick, I pretty much like all of them. The Challenger SRT's are real badass. He will enjoy his new toy, tell him to lower it about a 1-1/4" & get light tints (35%) they look perfect like that.

im not into arguing over manual vs auto. Sticks have been know to be faster and better for racing. If autos were better then why do dragsters and nascar use stick?

Actually Car and driver got 0-60 in 4.7 for the automatic SRT8, Motortrend got the same for both the auto and the manual, annd like 13.1 in the 1/4 mile. IMHO, Ls3 6 speed and the SRT8s are a dead heat through the 1/4 mile realitically. Rmemebr the auto and 6 speed SRT8s both put out the same power and the auto seems to actually hold an edge over the 6 speed SRT8s. Also, it was the 6 speed R/T that did 0-60 in 5.2 and the 1/4 in 13.6.

In a perfect world I'd own 3 vehicles, a Camaro SS, a Challenger SRT-8, and a Ford aptor Pickup with the 6.2 V8 all in black or orange.
