So I'm already thinking of what's next...to add to my Kenne Bell
So I've got my Kenne Bell 2.8 on my bone stock LS3. Love it. I'm already thinking of what's next.
What do you guys think would be a nice build that would really allow me to use that 2.8L Kenne Bell to the max? My goals are still to have a bad ass street car. So good drivability is key to me. I like really snappy quick throttle response. Not sure about a HP goal? I'd like a ton of torque....take full advantage of that positive displacement charger. Open to ideas. Let's hear it. My current thinking is a 416 forged stroker...but open to ideas. Last edited by cc-rider; 05-06-2015 at 10:55 PM. |

I'd start with just a cam swap, I purchased my car with the 2.8 kb and blower cam. It was an absolute beast at 10psi!! I got a great deal on my 3.6kb......at that point I went to forged 416 to be able to push the 3.6kb. As of now I am making a few changes in the fuel system to bump up the boost safely. Currently running 4" pulley making 10psi with 690rwhp and 701rwtq which is barely even turning the 3.6 lol. Between the two the driveability has stayed about the same very streetable.

Thanks. Appreciate the thoughts. Would like to keep this discussion related to my engine only. I understand I'll need driveline components to go with it and I'll do that too.

What could I expect out of just a cam addition? Keep in mind drivability is important to me....so wild cams are out. |

Maybe a nice BTR stage 2 or if your feeling adventures stage 3. Id say take a look into Methanol, Injectors, TB ETC.. To build your motor will get expensive. And your suspension since it went un-mentioned i take it is still stock? Have you thought about maybe investing in the proper suspension pieces to better plant the power? What kind of rubber are you running? What kind of power are you putting down currently?

Did header and 3in exhaust , dana dss axles and driveshaft, pfat struts went to 3in pulley made 13 lbs of boost just add meth water injection waiting to finish tune than to dyno

Sorry for the late reply, power before was in the 630-650 range on methanol didn't want to push the limits on my stock bottom end at the time. You could still make some killer power with a smaller cam to reduce driveability issues.......I would say you would still hit the 600hp range with supporting mods.
