What would a Chevrolet be w/o it's bowtie?

Anyone know whether you might be able to get the grille insert after you buy the car and then potentially install it yourself? I'm thinking I'd like it painted to match the body, but it would also be kind of fun to be able to swap from heritage to regular "on a whim."

Yeah, but it would be cool to have a vintage style bowtie, I think so anyway. Also I would hope that it is easily to take off, I would like to paint it black! But for sure, I definately want some type of chevy emblem.

OK,

I just got back from Daytona and spent some time really looking at the grille on JR's car.

The bowtie is held inplace by washers and wingnuts. And there is no cutout in the grille for the bowtie. Meaning, you can easily remove the emblem and have a smooth front grille if you want.

The factory grille does have a cut out but you can remove the bowtie. It will look IMO.

I'm not sure if GMPP parts will be the same way. As we haven't seen one yet. but I wanted to throw this out there.

me too, I hope it ias easy as the Jeep Liberty i have, it has 4 snaps you lift up on and then you just pull it out, the bottom is held in by tabs that match holes in the front bumper.

Since they only allow an hour and a half to install i guess it is not going to be too difficult but harder than my Jeep.

Ill take a full billet grille or the heritage grille with no bowtie. If people dont know its a chevy without a bowtie then they are idiots anyway. I think it looks alot cleaner without it.

Is the heritage grille available from the factory or is it only available through GMPP? Does anyone have the cost?
