Is This A Normal Looking engine?

Happy Turkey Day All!!

I wanted to post a couple pictures of my engine, This would be pictures of the engine directly under that nice plastic engine cover

Anyways I cleaned and detailed my SS today , getting it ready to be stored for the winter. I popped the engine bay and this is what I saw.
Is this normal? It's like pitty looking and shit! My car does not see any kind of bad whether or anything so I would have to assume it's normal but wanted to get your opinions.
Do yours look like this?
Should I be alarmed?
Also car has 5000 miles on it and is very very well taken cared of.

Are you talking about the texture? Yeah that's normal.

I'm not sure what you're looking for? It is cast, unpolished metal parts. That's how they look.

That's what it looked like new. Every engine I've ever seen has that texture.

At 5000 miles, this isn't the first time the hood's been up, has it?

Of course not ...I did buy the car only 2 months ago with 3400 miles on it and I installed all my mods except the headers and I just never noticed it before..
Glad to know it's normal though. I am a long time owner of mustangs and my last one was a shelby and i never noticed anything like this, so I wanted to see if it's normal.

It's hard to tell from your pics on my phone, but do you have what almost looks like salt or lime deposits on the metal?
I once had it appear on a motorcycle that never saw rain, and the culprit, as far as I could tell, was my motorcycle cover. It was a breathable cover, or so it said. On my next bike, I didn't cover it during storage and it was fine.

I guess you could kind of describe it as that but everyone else is saying it's just how it looks , it's unpolished metal , so whatever. Seems to be normal but thanks for your imput

Guess I've never thought too hard about it. I came across is a couple years ago and liked it. (I think it came from the founder of Jaguar, or something like that).

Definitely the casting, Look at a ferrari intake sometime, the texture is more rough than a popcorn sheetrock ceiling
