My heart breaks for Dan. SO SAD to not only lose your car, but also $12,000 or $13,000?!?! I would love to send a hundred to beat Dan's father up. Dan, I am so sorry. If I could, I would buy you a new Camaro. The 2002 is SWEET though!!
Dee, welcome to the family and congratulations on your new car. I am very happy for you!! |

Awesome story! One of if not the best thread I have seen since I have been on this site.
Dan I can't imagine how you feel losing your baby. I couldn't comprehend losing mine. I know you put on a happy face but still. It has to be cool how it has all turned out though. Like someone else has said you are wise beyond your years. That was a very good thing you did putting that note there. I hope you enjoy your 2002 and get the chance to have another 5th gen. dsirmans what a find you found unknowingly! I know you will enjoy your new Camaro. I hope you will come to some Lonestar Camaro meets I would love to see it in person.

Wow! This is one of the coolest stories I've heard. Thank you both for a very open and honest view into the interaction of 2 people who would never have even been remotely tied together otherwise. I love how this car creates family in more ways than one!

Awesome story! Like Stieger mentioned in another thread, it's not so much a small world, but it shows how connected we are these days with the Internet.

Thank You Dan, You know, I always wanted a brand new one. My uncle has a 74 he bought brand new when he was 18, and still has it today. I thought thats what I would do to. And not to rub anything in, I got so much more with her past history, she will mean more to me than any brand new camaro ever would. I do plan on keeping her for life! And will probably join a local Camaro club to keep her showing off
