wanna fight about it? IBM looks great when you shine a hard light onto it. But I'll be honest. I really wanted a blue car. IBM looked so black every time I saw it I opted for white because I didn't want a black car. I love blue cars, and I'd have chosen IBM if white wasn't available. But I would rather prefer my car to look blue from a distance or on a cloudy day.

FWIW, My 2009 Traverse is Black Granite Metallic. Same paint code as the new Carbon flash Camaro color. Earlier post is correct in that one division may name a color differently but it's the same paint and all will not be available on all models/divisions. I looked up the paint code for SIM the other day and it came back "Blade Silver"...just like the chart 17U

Well, most of Chevy's lineup are boring practical toyota-like cars you know... But at least they have a couple fun cars, which is more than I can say for all of Toyota's lineup! Toyota is one brand I've never EVER considered buying. Even when I was thinking about buying a sedan. Toyota found a way to make every one of their models the most boring of any of its competition. I suppose that attracts boring people who won't "abuse" their cars and help Toyota's reliability rating haha.

Yeah, i got scared there for a second because I couldn't find the CGM. The Mocha Machiato Steel name caught my attention and I thought: If this is what it is going to be called, I'm choosing another color. I wan't a CGM because it is not very common.

Its just when I think of a sporty car especially those from the 60's and 70's they had bold colors like the Synergy Green, or purple on the dodge challenger. Chevy needs some brighter colors for the Camaro or even the Cruze. Something that doesnt blend in with all of the other cars on the road.
For those asking wondering why I seem to be contradicting my argument with the purchase of the IBM color. Next to Green, which was discontinued a week before my order was placed, blue is next in line. Had ABM still been available, I would have went with that. ABM was a remarkable color. |

maybe in 2013 Chevy will take a page from Dodge and offer a lot more special edition colors. Yes, they made SGM, but that was a year and a half run. Dodge on the other hand seems to change special edition colors every half year or year.

Each division may call the same paint a different name that better suits the style of vehicle it is being used on. The silver on the Camaro is also used on the prior years Pontiac G5 and Cobalts under another name. And as far as IBM not being a great color on the Camaro...I've had mine for 3 weeks as of today and have been told no less than 10 times that IBM is the best looking color those people have ever seen on the Camaro. It highlights the curves and body lines of the car looking dark on the flat panels but brighter blue on the edges. It simply highlights the design. At night it looks black or dark blue until the lights of another car or the street lights hit it then it is like BAMMMM and the three metallic colors jump out at you.
