The ZL1 did not pull the Boss at VIR because it was heat soaked. It was down 100 HP after the first couple of turns.

We'll see. This video was a crock.

Just amazing...

That's a fact.

Exactly what results did they aquire?

Did they put both the cars on a road course with equal drivers?

I'll wait from MM&FF to run both to pass judgement. I think the results will be different.
Question.. What is MM and FF?

Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords magazine. The editors who can drive and will do a fair test between the two.

Not some ricer mag who's editors couldn't handle an 80 year old woman driver in western, NC.

Not surprising coming from inside line. A joke just like their notoriously high dyno numbers they publish. Im not a huge fan of mag comparisions but at least MT and CD rent a real track, hook up timing gear, and film the results. Call me crazy for expecting that over the backroad test without any PROOF.
probably... So you're guessing.

Bench racing is fun isn't it? In the end, just choose which car you want, it's your choice. If you want neither, i'm sure someone will buy it.

What video are you talking about?

And I have another question since you seem to be wise in all things car. If a ZL1 and GT500 crash in the forest when no one is around (and both drivers perish), does it make any sound?

LOL Do you really think you will be able to use anything from them on this site as Gospel? Good Luck.
It would be like me posting a test from Super Chevy Mag on a Ford Site. You will be laughed at.

Yes I know they both came out around the same time but still compare the ZL1 to a 12 GT500 and there is no comparison. I was hopping Chevy would come back with higher HP numbers for the 2013 ZL1 to one up Ford
Too soon for a first year production ZL1...plus the next gen Camaro will be on a different platform. Chevy did comparisons or testing with the 2012 ZL1 to the 2012 GT500. Mags will most likely compare the 2013 ZL1 to the 2013 GT500 and more bench racing will happen. Outcome still the same though, close.

And neither will Ford driver's attitudes. I've been into Camaros from the 70's (man, I feel old), but I know that Ford's high end Mustang cost more than Chevy's high end Camaro. All my Camaros have been reliable and just so you know, i've seen forged pistons break also. And it seems that technology have come a long way, as high performance shops like Redline, ADM, Hennessey have all up the boost and gained horsepower. Tuning helps.

Again, Ford built a great engine. Chevy built a great car.

Both cars are great values and true beasts. Both companies raised the bar. Chevrolet should answer with more power, maybe it should just add the LS9 once and for all. While losing some weight. Even though for the majority of drivers, the ZL1 has way more than enough power. However stock ZL1 drivers don't want to be intimidated at the stop light or interstate by the new GT500 (no, I don't condone speeding on highways)

About the numbers, I would have liked to see the ZL1 numbers a bit better. Quarter trap 119-120. 0-60. 4.0.- 4.2 at least.
