Um, actually, no.
And I've been into Cobras since 1999 and unless GM drivers attitudes just changed overnight, most would give up handling for 600 rwhp and hte potential to make 700, RELIABLY. The pistons in the ZL1 will never take the boost and punishment the pistons in the GT500 will take. That's a fact. |

Both cars are great values and true beasts. Both companies raised the bar. Chevrolet should answer with more power, maybe it should just add the LS9 once and for all. While losing some weight. Even though for the majority of drivers, the ZL1 has way more than enough power. However stock ZL1 drivers don't want to be intimidated at the stop light or interstate by the new GT500 (no, I don't condone speeding on highways)
About the numbers, I would have liked to see the ZL1 numbers a bit better. Quarter trap 119-120. 0-60. 4.0.- 4.2 at least. |
