Tire Spin
I haven't been able to get my car (2013 2SS NPP M6) to break the tires loose at a 10 mph roll yet. I have floored it many times with the stability and traction control off and maybe get a little squeal out of them. Not that I'm complaining because she just squats and hauls. I would think 426 hp should light the tires up at a 10 mph roll if wanted. I only have 1269 miles on the car and a CAI intake on it other wise it is completely stock. Fuse pull was done the day after purchase and she only gets Premium fuel (93). I have an appointment to get the car put on the dyno next Friday to see if its putting the HP down that it should. Has anyone else on here had this happen?

You know it's not 426hp to the wheels, right?

Yes I know but it should be at the crank. At the rear most are getting 380-400 on the 2013's with NPP. I will know more as to what its putting to the ground next Friday. |

From my experience (which is only 65K miles worth), the Pirelli tires are of such a soft compound, you will rarely be able to “roast” your tires at will without doing a higher RPM clutch dump. Once I changed to a harder compound rubber, I can now break traction from a roll.

Are you holding the traction control button down for seven seconds?

Lots of torque management in the stock tune. Not surprising.

What my fellow Bee brother says. I found that odd as well. I no longer have that issue.

I spun mine today from a roll for a second...just enough to leave some light marks...with the traction control on

That is exactly what I figured. My 97 Trans Am WS6 will light the tires up at a 10MPH roll and its completely stock but it will not keep up with the Camaro. I'm very interested to see what the Camaro puts down next Friday.

Your tires are actually pretty damn sticky, especially if its hot out. Tune out the torque management system and you will be driving a different beast. I knew the torque management was a REAL issue with the A6 like mine but was not aware it was in the M6, guess so....
