Does anyone have pics (or installed) of how Hankook Ventus R-S3 looks with black wheels?

FWIW, I can believe 11" for the 315 PSS and see how it might have been measured, based on my 285/35 PSS. Norm |

So this is 295s? I see the markings for the 315s, but wanted to verify the 295s. Was thinking about going this route.

If it helps at all I'm running 285 front and 295 rear on my 1LE. Fits great and looks good. The PSS are great tires. Infinitely better than the stock GY's. They do need to heat up a little like any performance tire. They do better in the cold than the GY'S too. I've bumped up my power to maybe 80% - 85% that of a ZL1 and it handles it fine.

My SS is setup for a staggered setup so I am leaning towards a 285 or 295 front and 305 or 315 rear. Just not sure which route to go. I currently have 275/315 Invos, but need something more able to handle track duty. PSS seems the tire to go with since my car is a DD that I take to HPDE events.

My ideal set up for DD/Track Days is 20x10.5 square with 295's all around. All purpose set up and should fit well under the fenders. It'll be nice to be able to rotate the tires also.

Yeah if I could redo some things I would prefer a square setup. Would require changing out some suspension parts and front wheels to make that work. Should've researched more before I changed everything, but the car does handle great.

How wide are the wheels that you're thinking of putting the new Michelins on?
For HPDE (and cornering in general including on the street) the closer to 'square' you can go, the lighter the understeer will be. Norm

Are you running a 10"/11" set up? I've heard guys gave stuck 295's up front on the 10's and 315's on the 11's.

Yeah that is what I am running. I just got a response from Tyler at JDP and he recommended 285/35/20 front and 315/35/20 rear MPSS. He has always given me great advice so that will be what I go with.

Have we settled the K1/K2 controversy?
From my read of tire rack, specs are the same except K1 are wider . . . . K1: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....PSSXL&i1_Qty=2 K2: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....SXLV2&i3_Qty=2 |
