Wastegate?
so the other day my brother dyno his car again after dropping pulley sizes and adding a external wastegate to his mustang which also has a v3 unit. now the guy that ran dyno wasn't the best but compared to his last run he gained 15hp and 65tq(were expecting more he dropped pulley sizes from 3.6 to 3.33)I heard that a external wastegate will help with low end torque. so my question is can we put a external wastegate on our cars, im sure that we would have to have it custom fab it, but would it work and if not can someone explain why it would not?

Been thinking about doing this with my IPF setup, first step was converting to a blow-thru setup, second is fueling, third is placement of the wastegate. It's a Boost-Torque setup, high torque gains but you run the same boost as your would at peak HP. Problem is though you trade efficiency for low end gains.

where do you think ideal placement will be, don't know a lot about wastegate besides that it helps regulate boost. ill see if I can get my brother dyno sheet but i remember him having a really consistent tq curve, so with the wastegate even though we are trading efficiency, would we still see a increase in overall tq

Before the intercooler so you don't heat it up needlessly.
