Set the 2step RPM I would say 300 - 400 RPM below where your converter flashes and adjust from there . Just because you have a 3000 stall doesnt mean it stalls at 3000 RPM . You are also going to need to install a switch to disactive and active the 2step. If you dont everytime you hit the brakes during normal driving the 2step will be active
Good point about if you tie the switch into the brake pedal, but a secondary activation switch sounds like a pain! And no I was not talking about revving it and dropping it into first. Its sounding like it just plain wont work without a tranny brake on an A6. According to Ted J I should be able to get around 2000rpm out of my converter now (Pro torque) before it pushes me out of the beams, thats going to be a help getting closer to boost off the line with my Vortech

I dont think it would be a pain . You go 12 volt source to toggle switch / out of the toggle switch to the mico switch mounted on the brake pedal / out of the mico switch to the MSD 2 step activation wire .

2010 ss whipple, cam, monster clutch stage 5 "Awesome clutch", nitto nt555 r 305/45/18 sjm line lock, msd 2 step launch control/rev limiter " hooked to clutch switch". fastlane pipe line cai, dynatech lt, borla exhaust
607 rwhp
At the strip!
Did a nice smoky 2nd gear burnout. 18psi in rear tires. Staged. Set the launch at 2500 rpm. Dumped the clutch. No wheel hop. Just SNAP!!! Tires were stuck!
Only had 2 passes that day axle broke on third pass..
Axles had 11 passes from last trip to strip with whipple.

My 60 before the msd 2 step was consistant 1.7-1.8
After msd 2 step 2 passes at 2500 rpm put me at 1.5 both times.

wow, thats excellent, maybe i might look into it.. i did not think you could get these m6 to hit a 1.5...so you are saying that you just dumped clutch, no slipping at 2500 rpm?

No wheel spin on the first 2 runs. and clearly you read what happened on the 3rd launch. so you need after market axles to really get the benifit of the 2 step. and you better have a good clutch. at least that is what i have found for my self. and the msd 2 step is trully just plug in!

Correct. However you can't use the stock clutch switch to activate, so your back to installing a micro-switch.

Instead of using a clutch switch could you just use a button on the shifter? Press button down for 2 step and let clutch and button go at the same time?

Yes you can, but this is the piece you need. Plug n play but very difficult to get at the plug in install.

There is a plug that's up under the dash that plugs into the clutch pedal. The Lingenfelter piece goes in line and off the top of my head the purple wire is the
C-TAP trigger wire. For best access remove drivers seat and know how to unlock the safety pins. You pretty much have to do it blind and by feel.

What about missfire detection?? I got my MSD LS 2-step today and installed it quick, just for testing ... 1 time missfire where detected, but I think it depends on the time you stay on the throttle with activated 2-step ... I will wire it together with my transbrake of my TH400 so I will use it just 1 or 2 seconds until I launch
