Limited Slip Additive, 2013 vs 2012 different amounts

Hi all first post,

I plan on buying an ss in the next year or so, and so I've been lurking these forums and soaking up as much information as I can, when I noticed something peculiar in the 2012 and 2013 owners manuals.

The 2013 owner's manual requires 3.3 oz of limited slip additive.

The 2012 owner's manual requires 2.5 oz of limited slip additive.

Could this be to help with the "binding" that seems to be happening in some people's rear end's clutch disks?

Anybody else know why or have any theories on this?

Thanks in advance.

My understanding is to correct the issues that have been happening with the earlier models. A little extra additive will not effect the the fluids protection and can eliminate the clutch issues.
