My Build..

I am so torn on what to drop in the ss, and i havent even driven it yet.

If i could do anything i want, i would do in a Kenne Bell kit and be happy with 550-600rwhp.

buuuut, that kit is so far away i dont know if this guy can wait that long.

Soo here were some things i was thinking about:

Do a mast motorsports 427 shortblock, Cam, and Kooks headers, intake and an exedy clutch, then maybe down the road slap on a KB with my bullet proof block...

Or Do the magnacharger kit that is coming out soon with the tvs 2300, but with that kit i would be worried about that kind of hp on the stock block..

or if it comes down to it just do a cam, intake, exhaust... but i dont know if thats enough powerrr...

:upset: a little help please?

Im a N/A guy....my plan is:

CAI
Underdrive pulley
Ported TB
FAST intake
Hotcam
ARH 1 7/8 LT
Exhaust
Tune
minor suspension work

that might not be enough for you tho....

If you are going to put a blower on you should probably wait and swap the motor at the same time. You will make a lot more power with a low compression build, but it will be a dog until you install the blower.

Do the magnacharger now .. keep it safe or push the envelope and blow that engine .. then do your built engine with whatever F/I you want

There are some good numbers with that blower on GXPs. I think I remember reading 550+ RWHP. I'd suggest having a look over on the G8board.com and seeing (http://www.g8board.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10454 for example). I know that the boys over at Magnusun are pretty active over there. They say that for a stock long block the 1900 would be better, all-around because the 2300 gives up something like 40 RWHP on the low end, but it has a lot higher headroom up top. Haddad Motorsports' car was making more than 600 RWHP pretty easy but was chewing up chassis parts if that's any indication on power potential.

word.. yeah man, i heard some guy made 550whp on a 2300 kit with just headers and i think a fuel pump... ( i believe it was a 3" pulley)

if i did that blower i would do a cam as well, and just run low boost to keep it under 600.. it sucks because its a new car and no one has really done anything to serious yet, were just using gxp's and corvettes as examples. haha .. guhh.

i would say F*** it and throw a new short block in it now, but i have to drop 10k on my track car, because the guys who worked on it last put the timing belt on wrong.... long story.... But i am a little short on cash so i have to choose my route wisely...
