Dealer cost for Car cover

I am trying to get the dealer to give me a car cover in leiu of something else they charged me for but didn't provide.

I basically have a 200 dollar credit. I want to know what the dealer cost is so I have some negotiating power.

Anyone have any idea?

Dont quote me on this, but I believe the dealer car cover option is like 500 dollars. Super rip off.

No, the retail price is arond $300-$350. I would guess the dealer cost is in the $180 range.

I know that GM parts direct has them for 254.00 list is around 350.

I was wondering dealer cost. It should be less than 254 .00

I know employee price is $300+, not sure how their discounts are based though.

Not many people like the Chevy cover, though. I think you get a lot better cover from California Car Cover.

Get them to throw in some oil changes or something....

retail for me as a 'dealer-installed option' was $350. I doubt they'll sell it to you for much less. So you may still end up paying $150 towards it.

exactly! that's what I said to my dealer. I'm paying $40K for the car and you can't throw in a car cover? Not even 10 bucks off or anything, full $350 price and I'm sorry, but that cover is not worth $350.

CCC is a good alternative, but the GM OEM cover is of basically the same material as the Superweave on their website which is actually about $100 more than the GM cover.

Just depends on how your storing the vehicle whether be inside.outside and the weather in the area.
