Thats with a majority of city driving. Most people i've talked to with cams say they lose about 1-2 mpg depending on how aggressive the cam is.

I will average 20-22 in mixed driving. I drive mostly country back roads and highways but then I get stuck on city streets too. I also don't go over 2000 rps unless I have blue lights in the rear view or a blue oval.

GO with a mild cam and make sure the engine can breathe.

Not trying to be rude...........but.........If you are willing to play, be willing to pay. There are no shortcuts, no magical device to get 50mpg out of a modified engine.

No offense taken, but we all have different prices that we are willing to pay, if its a huge loss in MPG to me is not worth it, i assume there would be a loss. To alot of you its totally worth it and i respect your opinions

Personally I'd spend effort time and money seeing if I could lighten the car somehow. I'd be looking at possible performance and MPG gains. It's not sexy like a big cam but I've played the cam game before.

If you're thinking cam, why on Earth would gas mileage even enter your mind?
