The plan is to go down and check her out on monday night. But we wont be taking delivery till January when my GM Card Bonus discount is available.

I will get a delivery pic for the blog, but the dealer has lots of work to do. They have to put the ground fx, Heritage Grille, and illuminated footwell/cupholder in.

Ordered 10/19/11 delivered to dealer 11/19/11

My TPW got changed to the 18th from the 14th - not sure what that means - GMconnects doesn't show anything. Becky was kind enough to dig that up for me - I guess I have to wait until Tuesday to get an update now.

So, I checked today and apparently my car has switched from CSX to Union Pacific in Salem, Illinois. Using the Union Pacific tracking #, I have an arrival in San Antonio on Nov 24, (Thanksgiving) @ 8:43 a.m. Then, it has to get on a truck to come back North to my dealer.

And this is the year I actually live in Texas again I'm not going to my parents house in San Antonio for Thanksgiving.

Well this sucks. It's the 22nd today, my TPW of 11/14 which became 11/18 has come and gone. Becky was able to find out I have a temporary VIN, which I take to mean it may have started production. No idea what the hold up is. Man is this hard waiting.

As you know, you and I are in the same boat. I don't see how we could have pissed Chevy off so I wonder why we're getting the shaft

I ordered a 2SS Convertible, Black Top, LS3, Hurst Short-Throw Shifter, Black Exterior, Inferno Orange Stripe Package, and Inferno Orange Interior Accent Package.

I'm wondering if you and I ordered similar items which might be holding up the build.

Becky didn't say anything about a temporary VIN to me and I'm just guessing that must mean your car has started down the line.

If they had told me two weeks ago that my car would be built on 11/30, that wouldn't have been a major concern to me. But to tell me the TPW is ll/14 and then change it to 11/18 and then not deliver makes the waiting that much harder.

I still haven't seen anyone with a TPW for this week and i wondered if the factory shut down. Now, with a "temporary" VIN and TPWs changed and passed, I wonder if they would start a car down the line and then leave it in place for a week?

Now that you mention it, I haven't seen anyone with a TPW this week either. Tonight I sent an email to GM Canada asking if the Oshawa plant is down this week. If I find out anything, I'll post it here. I did a little research and Oshawa has been shut down before for short periods due to limited demand.

Close - I ordered a 45th 2SS vert LS3 with hurst short throw shifter. Maybe they are being extra careful with our cars and taking extra time to make sure the vert tops don't have any isses

...not likely, but I can think that....

Sorry guys - I just checked back my emails today, and it wasn't Becky, it was my sales guy who sent me an email saying "it has a temporrary VIN which means it's in the build process.". I'm just checking this forum so much I thought it was Becky! She told me it was still at 3400.
