Chevy's gotta do something better than just changing the tail lights. I'm not to much of a fan of the new Mustang, but I had a new Cobra park next to my SS and that was a hot looking car. Their gonna have to do something for the Z/28 that steers the Cobra right off the road.
If it was me, I'd go with Jay Leno's style front fascia with the led lights, which they are, and a different grille and spoiler. Whatever they do they gotta make kill that Stang oh and even for the standard Camaro, throw in a spoiler haha

I guess it will be cheaper for GM to deal with 2 lights and housings instead of 4.

If you watch from 26 secs on, the lights still look red, not clear like some people are saying. Thanks for the post Scotty.

I'm not sure if I like it. I need to see clear, close up pics to really decide. Honestly, my least favorite part of the 5th gen is the rear end and taillights. After seeing the "sunglasses" look, I think I prefer the current look better.

Scotty, thanks for the pictures and the ensuing debate. You got the best look, did the lenses look clear or red to you? Was this the only convertible that was seen while everyone was visiting the plant? The backup lights have definitely moved from their original location. I do not see any in the license plate area, so they must have moved to the tail lights.

I really enjoyed the updated Mustang, the 01-05 Mustangs looked really cheap and cheesy to me, but the updated one looks really good, it looks like it takes itself seriously and its nice and aggressive.
As for the Camaro though i think the Camaro is drop dead gorgeous, its way better than the Mustang looks-wise, i love the renderings of the new Z/28, its pretty amazing looking but i always thought the camaro looked better than the mustang anyways, even the GT500s, i can handle a big duck-tail spoiler but a rear wing doesnt work for muscle cars in my oppinion, the only muscle car i ever thought looked good with a rear wing was the old Challenger/Cuda go-wings, other than that, bahhh haha =P
