2LS OR 1LT????

Hey everyone,

as I keep saying the time is coming closer for me to get my Camaro :thumb up: and before I never notice that the 2LS and 1LT are only about a $800 split, so in theory I should buy the 1LT but exactly whats the difference other then the nicer wheels?

1LT has a power passenger seat. It also gives you access to option packages like the RS (wheels & headlights w/halos), Convenience & Connectivity (remote start & usb), and the Rear Camera & Sensors.

I believe the 2ls has different gears too for better gas mileage, making the lt slightly quicker?

I hope so! That would be deffintly better, I just really don't want the 2LS cause I hate the heritage rims and I like the LT rims so I don't have to blow money replacing the heritage ones

I choose 2LS because I don't like any stock rims. I also didn't need the remote start because the alarm i'm installing comes with it. I didn't want a HUD and I plan on going 3.73 gears. Do basically it just made the most sense to go with 2LS. I tell you all this to show you that it all depends on what you plan to do.

I believe that is wrong. You are correct in saying it has different gears for better gas milage but better gas milage means it has a lower gear ratio meaning they don't feel like they have more power compared to the 1LT gear ratio. I believe that the way i said it is correct but if i am incorrect feel free to correct my statement

He used the lower case lt instead of the capital LT.
Anyway I am pretty sure they use the same ratios. The auto and manual ratios are different.

Actually just checked it out. A 2LS has 2.92 gear ratios. A 1LT has 3.27 gear ratio. So meaning a 2LS will not Acclerate or be the same under speed as a 1LT.

All else remaining the same it would mean the 1LT would accelerate faster but the 2LS would get better gas mileage.

This. The 1LT will have a slightly more noticeable acceleration to it.
