ZoMBiE_KMF... Breaking Bad (BrBa) [COTW 2/20/12]
*Upgraded to SS. --> SS Build Thread: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=295615
I have had people telling me for some time that I need to start building a journal. I had some free time today so I decided to stop slackin and let people know how my plain 1LT had to Break Bad. This may take a while I have a ton of pics. I started doing minor mods just to make her a little bit different to other cars at the local C5 meet. Soon I got addicted. Before.. Now.. Mods
Backstory.. I never had a fast car before the Camaro. My last two cars (a Saturn and Toyota) I never really wanted but kinda had to settle for because I was only 23 and no credit so there were the only cars I could get approved for. When I first seen a Camaro in person I knew sooner or later I was going to get one! After slacking for about a year and a spur of the moment I stopped by the closest dealership and decide to try my luck. (I can thank Ivan @ Southwest Speed. and hclove09 for that one with all their talk about the local Camaro5 meets. ) After a day at Reliable Chevrolet and putting down $2400 I walked out with a Cyber Gray Metallic LS. On 14% interest and payments $620 month. I was so stoked! After the last couple years finally got a car I wanted! Wasted no time adding simple mods. Blacked out the bowties and added Red footwells. After a week of driving everywhere showing family and friends, I got a call from Reliable to come in to dealership for some final paper work. When I got there they told me " We need another $1200 if you want to keep that car." After a few days of fighting with them I decided to let em take it back.:fighting0040: Back to my Corolla. After a week I went to Galles Chevrolet and told them about the that had just happened to me. Next day the called me to go in that they had an awesome deal for me. A Summit White LT with 3.75% interest, $515 payments and all had to put down was a $1000. Done. I guess everything happens for a reason. Last edited by ZoMBiE_KMF; 10-22-2013 at 12:39 PM. |

Again I wasted no time adding a few mods.
After hitting a local C5 meet I wanted to start making my car my own. I didn't know at the time it would turn into an addiction. First up was the ugly gold bowties. I don't like the gold so I had to add some black vinyl to them. Minor mod but I think it made a big difference. Switched out the exhaust right away too. (Later switched to a stock SS exhaust.) Upgraded to stock 20's. Got an awesome deal on the wheels by my bro Harold who had just put some aftermarket wheels on his SS. Added some decals on the gills. Another minor mod but again I think it made a big difference. Added the trunk black out piece. Scored it off my friend Heather. I like the white color but for me it was too much white. This helped out. I was happy with that for a while. Last edited by ZoMBiE_KMF; 11-16-2011 at 06:30 AM. |

I was starting to get a little more addicted. The next round of Mods...
I wanted to add some more black to the car. So I went and tinted the taillights and side markers. My car did not come with door sills so I wanted to add something there, but not the same Camaro ones everyone else has, so I added the Transformer door sills. Since I added the Transformer door sills I figured I might as well do the Autobot center caps too. Also added some black vinyl insert on the wheels just to be a little different. I originally wanted the Defenderworx fuel door, but decided to go with Camaro Nickel Fuel Door painted Summit White. Finally added the Red footwell lighting I pulled out of the CGM LS. Also I thought I would change out the gray floor mats for some black and red Camaro ones. After seeing Ivan's bowtie I thought I would get me a Red LED illuminated bowtie. Had it installed to only come on when I hit the brakes. Last edited by ZoMBiE_KMF; 11-16-2011 at 06:45 AM. |

Got tired of the stock grille and very few people at the time had the Heritage grille so I had to put that on. Plus I hadn't done any mods to my car in a couple of months and was starting to go crazy.

The addiction kicked in hard and I was ready for more mods!
So for the next round of mods I wanted to do a bunch of major appearance mods. I wanted to do them all at one time so my car would feel like a completely different car. With the help with Ivan from Southwest Speed that goal was accomplished in one weekend. It was a long weekend.. Changed stock 20's to some new 20" Giovanni Kilis. 20% Window tint. Also tinted foglights and turn signals. Swapped out my v6 front fascia for an SS one. Added Stillen side skirts and front splitter. Put in the carbon fiber Havor rear diffuser. Upgraded to the RS headlights and installed Colorshift Halos. Also put in an RGB scanner, LED side markers, and Plasma fog light bulbs. Tinted turn signals and fog lights. Painted door panels, dash and speedometer trim Summit White. Installed a Unrestricted Motorsports Gen1 spoiler. Added a 1969 RS emblem to the Heritage grille. (and yes I know my car is not a true RS but with the new SS fascia I didn't want to be confused as being an SS so hoping that would help people know I am a v6) Goodbye stock 20s.. Hello Giovanni Kilis! I didn't want the stocks anymore so after a long search I found the wheels I wanted and went to go see my cousin Chris at Discount Tire. Last pic of my car with the SS 20's.. Off with the stocks.. My cousin putting on the new wheels.. My cousin approves.. Amazing how changing the wheels makes a complete difference.. Now that I had the wheels on it was time to get to work on the rest of the mods. Time to start painting.. First up some Summit White pieces.. (SS Fascia, side skirts, spoiler and interior trim) Next up some Cyber Gray Metallic pieces.. (Rear diffuser, front splitter, and molding) We had also painted the molding white to match the body like RS cars, but I didnt end up liking it. I liked the color contrast better on the roof so we decided to paint them CGM to match stripes. Time to take open up the RS headlights and put some colorshift halos in.. Off with the halogen lights.. Taking off the rear bumper to put in the new diffuser.. Finished product after a very long no sleep 3days. Colorshift halos with RGB scanner.. New Cyber Gray Metallic and Carbon Fiber Havoc Diffuser.. Summit White LED sidemarkers.. Plasma fog lights.. Freshly painted white interior with a retro Camaro by Chevrolet emblem.. Last I added a Southwest Speed decal because Ivan and Christa are awesome and help me out so much. Last edited by ZoMBiE_KMF; 11-16-2011 at 07:45 AM. |

I have to add some pics from Camaro5 Fest II cuz it was an awesome time!!
A Camaro filled weekend with a bunch of awesome friends, probably the most awesome vacation I ever had. Originally I wanted to meet up with the huge caravan stopping in Las Cruces, but work screwed up that one. After missing the Camaro Club of New Mexico/Camaro Club of the Rockies caravan I was lucky enough to catch up with the Oklahoma group.. A few pics of my car parked at the Fest.. Found an award on my car! Thank you again GTAHVIT! Could not have done it without the help of Ivan and Christa! In line to get car signed by Camaro Team.. My cousin DJ getting video of my car getting signed.. Some farewell pics with Camaro Club of New Mexico.. Last edited by ZoMBiE_KMF; 11-16-2011 at 07:38 AM. |

Entered the Albuquerque Museum car show with some fellow Camaro Club of New Mexico members.
We were in category with all Camaros and Firebirds 1967-2011. Tied with 2nd place with fellow member Don and his '69 Camaro. Never thought would beat out all the awesome 1st Gens out there. Beat only by a 1978 Trans Am. Awesome time. |
