I've read articles that tested rods with no mufflers... and contrary to thinking that free flow is better...no mufflers had far less HP on the dyno.
Back pressure along with butt dyno's have been banned from Camaro5. Please do better research.

This is the V8 section. Many things posted here don't pertain to V6's. The fuse pull is one of them.

If you want it louder then add some headers and CAI (+tune of course). Also, you'll never have to worry about drone...like you would if you do a muffler delete.

He's talking about the NPP fuse... which, being that LT V6s can have the NPP, would be the same as the SS...

Since he said that he has a 2010, the NPP fuse pull wouldn't apply to him either.

+1, it is surely not the same sound. I have had more than one SS with a muffler delete next to me and other NPP cars and of course it similar as its the same engine etc, but NOT the same. Also NPP gives you the control to quiet it down when desired if installing the M2W. With my headers there are times that is appreciated. Dont get me wrong, muffler delete sounds great and is SUPER cheap, but its def. not the same.

I'm half tempted now to pull the fuse and see how it sounds...

I agree. I actually changed my order at the last minute from an automatic transmission to a manual with the NPP exhaust because I wanted an aggressive sound and the cool looking quad exhaust. I actually like how the NPP exhaust keeps the noise in check except at start up and full throttle!

NPP does not have resonators on it where stock does, so even with mufflers cut not really the same sound. I looked at my exhaust when it was off the car when they where putting cradle bushings in and no resonators.
