2014 1LE black hood wrap, ya or nay?

Now that the 2014 is going to have the heat extractor on the hood, I'm thinking that the 1LE won't have the black hood wrap anymore....my reasoning is:

1) it might be more difficult to install
2) it might look weird to have hood wrap with extractor

What do y'all think?

I didn't like the hood wrap at first but now I can't imagine a 1LE without one. I'm wondering how it will look with the new hood myself. Also wondering if they changed the wheels and splitter. Fbodfather was asked in another thread when we would see the new 1LE and his response was "soon". Maybe they will paint the hood black?

I say leave the vents off the hood and paint it flat back with some zl-1 sides a little more aggressive front lip

My dealer removed the one on my car before I even found it. I'm kinda glad they did. I think it looks better on white, yellow, orange, or red, but the darker colors not so much.

How do you know that the 1le will have the hood extractor?

If the SS gets it and it is supposed to be functional and reduce lift, why would the track pack SS not get it?

I know mine isnt a 1LE, but I think it would look good. It wouldn't look bad at all with the heat extractor being there...car is dirty I know. Washing it now.

Maybe it will be a different style. They seem like they are really trying to give each package it's own identy.

If'n it were me, I'd paint the 1LE hoods matte black if they come with the insert. And then call it a day. Couldn't cost much difference vs. wrapping.

In 1964, the Corvette showed up at dealers and Chevy had removed the bar from the middle of the rear window. Owners of 1963 Corvette split window coupes were often seen at the body shop having the bar cut our of their Corvette, and the new 1964 style glass installed.

My dad worked at a Plymouth dealer when one of the salesmen came into the shop and said, "I've got a guy that wants to buy that Superbird, but he wants us to take the rear wing off first, fill in the holes and paint".

The matte black hood is part of the 1LE package, and to me it is like the idiots who bought an IROC back in the day and swapped on aftermarket rims. Just IMO.
