even if you get that 'filler' you will still have that silver round button that you used to be able to press to flip out the key.

I don't get why some of you willingly gave up your keys to get some half assed dual fob and key system that now you need extra parts and garage rigging to fix? unless you have super long legs of course then I get it.

Maybe they could have put something useful in there, like a screw driver or something like that....

I did it because I got a letter from my insurance company pretty much telling me I had to.

Many 2014's and all 2015's were sold new with the "recall" already done so people had no say in the matter.

I think the plug is a big improvement over just leaving a hole in the side of the fob. I can't believe they didn't have this for the 2015 model year. How long does it take to design a tiny strip of plastic with Camaro lettering on it?

I went and talked to my dealer and they said they were never aware of this. I gave them the information that OP gave and they said they would let me know if they figure it out and that was 2 days ago.

Yea, I think it's so new that some dealers can't order yet. It will soon be available so I'll call every two weeks!

I just called ask about parts and he calls back says yea they have them and wants to schedule appointment to "install " them they said I couldn't just pick up the parts a tech had to do it ......what a joke!

Love mine as well, always take great care of me and all my vehicles. Last time I took mine in for servicing, the service manager asked if I had received my notice and asked what I wanted to do. I said I didn't want it done, he said OK & I don't blame you; I'll have you removed from the recall notification list.
