I've been looking around and have not found this posted so, here it goes. What is the best way to detail your engine? As of right now since its kind of new I've just been giving it a light wipe down with a rag, but are there any specific products or a better way of cleaning the engine. Thanks in advance!!

yes there are many polishes that will do the job, do you plan on picking up an orbital polisher?

Phil help please. All week been looking at the pc 7424 and products. Now after all that I read and am looking into zaino products which he told me not to use a buffer. I wanna take out like swirls left by towel drying from dealer. It's my daily drier but I do baby my car and paint so what do I do. Am I " wasting my time" as one guy said doing it by hand or can I get good results with zaino line. I don't care I just need to know before I buy them and see swirls when done. Also if not where do I turn. No one can give me a good answer without being steered by a product line or a open ended answer.
Thank you for your help

sure thing, I would say pick up an orbital polisher or you won't remove the swirls and light marring.

pick up some good polishes and use the Zaino products - like their sealant, car wash, detail spray etc.

Menzerna FG 400
Menzerna SF4000

that combo should work nicely.

as well I would consider picking up the Griot's Random Orbital Polisher a much nicer machine.

Thanks. So lets say I get 7424 and then use mirror glaze 105 then205 then wax then sealant or sealant then wax. My cars Is carbon fiber and wanna make it deep wet and pop shine. I know stages. Wash clay 105 205 then ? Also is it really necessary to do both 105 and then 205. I have a year old car with ligh towel swirl marks from dealer detail. Was told zaino fills problem not fix it Or should I use after I correct paint with buffer. Thanks again.

you can try the m205 first then if you need more work on the paint move to the m105 and finish with the m205.

Thanks and after I forget what steps I take. Wax then seal. Seal then. Wax. Isn't ther one I can't detail wax over after I apply. I don't want that. Best products for me in florida on a daily driver. Thanks. Love this thread and the site
