Purchase Hurst shifter from Chevrolet parts.

I am trying to keep my 2010 Camaro all GM for several reasons including warranty. I have tried to order the short throw shifter from my Chevrolet dealer, but to date they have been unable to do it. I would appriciate the answers to the following questions:
When can I order the shifter from GM?
Is the part number 92214388?
Estimated cost?
Thanks very much.

That is the correct shifter that GM is using, My camaro came from the dealer with that shifter (brand new) thats the shifter they got from GM. you can use the factory shifter with the hurst linkage or you can put the classic look shifter on.

I saw an SS at the GM Performance Parts display this aug at the Woodward dream cruise. It had a factory Hurst in it with a sign on the window saying it is a potential future accessory - timing first quarter of '11.

The one in the link above is the aftermarket version.

I think, and can be wrong at any time.

No it isn't. Yours is probably a dealer installed aftermarket one. This is what the factory Hurst looks like. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=103249

Ok, I see what your saying, but all that is, is a factory shifter with the hurst linkage underneath with a little hurst decal on the side. The linkage is the same as the one that came with my car. and you could even still use your factory shifter with the Husrt linkage. So yeah mine was installed by the dealer as a Hurst Package with floor mats and badges, but it was bought through GM, just not from the factory. I like the old school style anyways, but each his own and the bottom line is anything Hurst makes is kicka$$. I just like the fact that when it becomes a classic, I can say it came from the dealer that way, it wasn't something I added.

And after all that, you only get a 25% shorter throw.

Unless your car was built TPW 8/23 or later and has Hurst Shifter on the Window Sticker..
