How much power/ factory block/forged internals

How much power will the factory block hold with forged internals?

Andy, do you use a forged crank at the level? If so, how far do you push the stock crank?

I didn't want to go over 700 with 4 bolt heads, that's the real weak point on the LS3.

No he means the heads. Stock ls3/l99 blocks and heads only have provisions for 4 bolts per cylinder, limiting their resistance to cylinder pressure.

I am using 6 bolt heads on my 4 bolt block because they have a thicker deck to resist lifting. I also bought them because I will be using a 6 bolt block on the next iteration.

I am over 1000 crank hp with my stock crank with forged rods and forged pistons as well. It is a centri setup and they are typically easier on parts.

It's pretty amazing how much power the stock LS blocks are holding. The ARH/FARK Camaro made 1300 with a forged 416 and the stock LS3 block, but that really pushing it.

Plenty of people make 1100+ on 4 bolt heads. Good gaskets, L19 1/2" studs work wonders. Plus a lot of shops like to keep 4 bolt heads as a fuse. If it pings it will take out a headgasket before a piston if you are lucky.

You need at least 1000 RWHP for internet racing.

Is there a factor to convert internet hp to rear wheel, flywheel, or real world/no sh!t type power? Can you calibrate an internet dyno to reveal those other, less important numbers

Seems like boost is the issue with lifting the heads.. The magic number is between 22-23 pounds before it starts trying to push water.
