Nice, so you essentially got the car for invoice and got within $500 of KBB trade in value, which is usually a win as dealers like to lowball trades.

It's almost always better to sell your car privately. My dealer wasn't 3k for my trade in. I sold it for over 5k. I came to regret ever even selling my old car because it was a great car that got close to 30mpg.
