Damn I thought Mustangs were bad but seems the SLOpar folks are out to get me, lol! A friend of mine and car show buddy I run with gives me shit about my SS being slow. He has a '12 SRT8 which is a nice car and the numbers are close plus my SS is not stock. And just today another friend Dodge owner, this time in a stock everyday new Ram claims he can beat me..really guys?

Maybe the fact that Camaros have not been around for so many years people forgot that these are SPORTS CARS not sedans, or trucks, or eco friendly..True American Muscle

Gotta agree, my brother drives a dodge ram and before i could tell him anything about my car except that it was a new camaro he informed he he could beat me. Of course he could- but really? Even before he found out it wasn't a ZL1? or modded in any way?

The guy with the SRT8 a few weeks ago started spouting off totally false numbers on the Camaro. Saying they only have "350hp, top speed of 155, 0-60 in 8 secs" I was like "whoa excuse me? No buddy, 430hp, top speed of an SS is 175-185, quarter mile in 11 sec & 0-60 in 4.8"....his response "uhhh oh I didnt know it was that much"

yes I may be a chick but I know my car numbers, thank you very much! Lol!

Your SS faster than a '12 SRT8? Doubt it. Maybe if you had a cam.

Congrats on your car being slower to 60 but much faster in the quarter than a ZL1.

Some people just have to keep convincing themselves they made the right decision when they bought their car, even though they might regret it now...

There's a Mopar club around here, but they welcome anybody. I know the guy who runs it, he's a really nice guy who owns a Plum Challenger.

Well the numbers are very close with the SRT. It would probably come down to the driver. Frankly I dont care whos faster, I didnt buy my car to race it. I just find it funny that its the first thing outta peoples mouths in regards to my car. Mine SS is beautiful, she has nothing to prove.

Depends on where you look..too many variable numbers out there. 4.3 up to 4.9 Ive seen. But the point is who cares

He has 470hp, weighs 600lbs heavier and we run very close numbers plus he paid 20k more for his car..who cares
