Clunking Noise
on my way home today i noticed a clunking noise coming from the front of the car on the passenger side. It seems to be more noticable at slower speeds but when you turn the wheel it almost feels like something is broken or extremely loose. I crawled underneath and pulled on and wiggled everything i could reach but everything was solid. Any suggestions?

strut tower mount, ball joint? if you jack up the front of the car and grab the tire and try wiggle it around some you will know netter what it might be. if the bottom of the wheel pulls out/pushes in some then probably a ball joint. you should also be able to hear some minor clunking when you do this.
does it happen when braking? front end shake at all when braking? |

jacked up the car and the wiggled the tire around and didn't hear anything. tire was solid with little play. I noticed after that the noise was gone.

Exactly what I am experiencing as well. Even just had the struts, sway bar and end links replaced.
If they put the car in the air, I'm good for the drive home(-ish). Then day or two later, it's back. Really frustrating. |
