Replica stock SS wheels 20X10.5-11

So what do you all think? I for one really like the look of the stock SS wheels but would like to run 305-315 in the rear. I don't want to have to buy extra rims to get mine widened. Not sure I'd be real comfortable with that anyways. If someone could come up with replica SS 20X10.5-11, those of us who prefer the look of the stockers or, can't afford to buy four new wheels just to run 305-315 in the rear, could buy these and move the stock rears to the front. I feel whoever does this would CLEAN UP! I'm sure a LOT of people feel the same and would get off the fence and buy these.

Someone is offering 22" replicas but I feel is really missing the boat with that. Unless you want the raked look, you're forced to buy four new rims 22".

WOOOOORD!!!

I've been saying this for a while now. I think maybe the reason is because GM is really protecting the rights to the design and going after unregistered replica stuff pretty hard. At least that's what I have read on here/other places.

Still though, I'd love to see some 20x10.5's or 11's replica's. Hell, it only took like 3 or 4 months after the 03 cobra came out for replica's to start popping up... I know, I bought some!

GM went after the guys who were trying to make the LS7 replica wheels.

I have a feeling they'd be pissed about replica 20's also.

It wouldn't surprise me at least.

Maybe someone at GM should seek a promotion by making this happen. This would sell and make them a handsome profit as they would be the ONLY distributors then. YOU LISTENING GM?

I will take a set of 10.5 for the rear as soon as the are available. If anyone sees these be sure to let everyone know.

I'd be in also. I have not seen a aftermarket wheel for this car that looks good to me. I have been looking at having the fronts widened, but it just seems like a major hassle.

ADM can widen your wheels. I think what he does is moves the rears to the front and then widens the fronts. I think the cost it like $1,400 though.

I wish the Havoc wheels came in 10.5" widths as I would like to run 305/35/20's in the rear without widening and spacers.

It isn't the welded section of a widened wheel that would concern me, it is the use of huge spacers to accommodate them. I'd never run spacers more than 1/8" thick on a performance car, unless you swap the lug studs out for some ARP brand ones.

While this idea of a wider "replica" wheel may seem excellent, most of the replica wheels I've experienced do not match the quality of the OEM wheels. The cheaper the wheel, the more likely it is to be lower in quality too.

What would you consider cheap? If GM offered 20X10.5-11, I'm sure the price would be reasonable and the quality good. I would think a good quality replica should be achievable for around $400-$500 a wheel. That's a lot cheaper to get the wider wheel look than spending $2000 and up for four after market wheels.

$400-500 a wheel is a reasonable guess. But, most people think that $250 a wheel is expensive. They get so used to seeing the $999/set junk that some wheel companies push, that they think this is the norm for a "quality" wheel. The reality is that the factory wheels are MUCH better quality than just about everything less than $1500/set.

GM will make some 20x11.0 wide wheels, those are going to be for the Z28 though

Yeah, ADM sells widened stock wheels. But $1400 is a little expensive for two widened stock wheels. If the price was a little better, I'd probably get a set.

But another issue is weight. I think someone asked them how much their widened wheels weighed and they never got an answer. I think they're pretty heavy. That's the only issue with getting wider stock wheels vs aftermarket.

It would be a lot better to go with some light weight 20'' wheels. That would help out as far as performance. But the light weight 20'' wheels are pretty expensive.
