Question Installing Hawk Pads. Quick Question Please...

I am installed the new Ceramic Hawk pads and I have the pads out and am in the process of putting in the new pads. There is a metal clip the separates the 2 pads from eachother. It is the large metal clip that pops out after the pins are tapped out. Do I keep that in still or is that removed now that I have the Hawk pads? Just want to double check

Thanks... Yea, I figured once I actually looked at it a bit.

Got all 4 done. The 1st one took 1 1/2 hours. The next 3 took about 15 minutes each from start to finish. I'm a slow learner but once I do it once I am A OKAY! I am a software developer and definitely not a car mechanic. I give mad props to guys that work on cars all day.

I switched to the Hawk ceramic pads about 4,000 miles ago. Braking is the same or slightly improved and brake dust is non-existent!!!

I just installed mine Sunday - still can't believe how easy it was.

I used a putty knife to remove the two metal plates/spacers off each read OEM pad andstuck them on the hawk pads. Not sure if they were required, but I've seen others say they did it. The front Hawks already had metal plates, so I just used them as is. I already notice the absence of dust, and no noise yet. Plus, I got rid of the roller skates...

I have had the Hawk Ceramic pads on my Challenger and Charger for a while now and am VERY happy with them. I just got the Camaro 2 weeks ago and this was one of my 1st mods. It definitely brings down the brake dust to virtually none. I cant believe how much the junk pads they install from the manufacturer are.

I just installed mine last night and drove to work today which is 37 miles away. I do not have any dust yet. I cleaned the inside of the rims really well while the wheels were off and the brake dust was caked on. It looked horrible. Now they are nice and shiny. I will right a full review on them after a week or so of driving on them

The pins that hold the pads in place along with the clip should be replaced when you change pads. Most people or shops don't do this. I learned a while back. Just like Luvpilot -- don't ask. Replace your pins with the pads.
