I'm in a similar boat.

I have to scoot the front passenger seat up quite a bit and I can see the kid getting bigger but I got some ways to go before I got to give it up.

I was hopping the Chevy SS would be an alternative but with really low MPG and the 'eh' looks, I say no thanks. I now have to wait until they throw in all the tech into the engine.

This is why I bought a gxp. The only thing I don't like about it is its rare. The main thing I love about it is its ls3/tr6060 and being within a 100lbs of the SS. Awesome road car, just went on a road trip that involved 2841 miles with a 5 year old and 11 year old.

You should have picked up a family truckster for the old lady and kept your Camaro. Now you will be stuck in the boring SUV rut for years.

For me the camaro is just a "fun" car!! Not much of a family car at all. I have other vehicles for that.

I have a 2013 Durango, white with the black-out/blacktop package. Black 20" wheels, grill, and painted body accents. Looks cool. Wife/son like.

The 2013 Camaro is "Dad's car".

Having a family certainly changes many aspects of our lives. I know it was a tough decision. Hang in there, it will work out for you in time. It sounds like you already have a plan to be behind the wheel of another Camaro. I wish you the best.
