If your going to go for a 2" drop your going to want to look at our Pedders xa coilovers.

If you simply do what your talking about please prepare your self for a very sloppy ride.

Most aftermarket springs are made at a stiffer rate than stock. And we're taking away 2" of shock travel. This is all going to overwhelm your stock shock which were not designed for any of this. Adding the sway bars is going to further this, when one tire goes through a pot hole that sway is now being factored into your spring rates, and once again we have a shock that is being further overwhelmed.

Have you ever seen an import bouncing around on the freeway, having trouble staying in his own lane , That could be you.

For any one that is curious what a proper 2" drop should feel like please come on down to the shop and i would more than happy to take you for a ride.

I you have no other goal than to simply build a show car that you don't really have to drive anywhere in, than by all meens just slap some springs on it.

Thanks
Mike Haddad

Why then does Pedders and you sell springs? Pedders has a spring/sway package on their website.

This is the first time Pedders has offered such a package.
Its a mild drop with mild springs.
However I still don't recommend it to my clients.
If you'll note the other 97% of our packages include a shock and spring.
90% of my clients leave my shop with one of our complete track or extreme systems. Yes they are more expensive, but in the long run they end up saving money.

Furthermore if you get one of these systems installed by us and you don't like it I would be more than happy to return the car back to stock. (In the 4 years I've been working with pedders I havn't had anyone take me up on that offer.)

Thanks
Mike Haddad

i know the coil overs are better but I'm trying to work with a $1,200 budget. Maybe I will wait and save up for some coil overs. How much do the xa pedders with coil over run and installation?

Mike @ Haddad can give you a price, but I think it's around $2000 for just the xa coil overs installed.

A pic of my car is above in thread and would be about $450 for eibach springs installed without the alignment. Add a set of sway bars for about $400.

So I thought about it I think I'm going with the springs and sway bar. I know your car is 1 inch drop do you think a 1.5 drop will change driving that much?

I don't.

I am getting new wheels that are a bit wider and was concerned about wheel well rub if I went any lower.

I am happy with ride and control.

the Pedders Camaro went 19x10.5 all the way around. And their car reported no rubbing during their testing on the track. I might go 19's also and use the same combo as Pedders, or go 19x9 and 19x10 or 19x9.5 and 19x10.5 , who knows. BUT also leaning towards Fiske wheels.

I'm staying with 20's.

Did pedders change brake calipers or just get 19's that cleared, can't remember.

I think they kept the stock brakes. If I did a brake upgrade (brembo monblock), I was told I may have put wheel spacer on certain aftermarket wheels. Forgeline needs a spacer on the rear for brake upgrades and not sure about Fiske or others. The only thing that is making me stay at 20" right now, is the cost of tires. A set of Nitto is a few clams and people are also selling the Pzero's. The Hennessey's are still 20" wheels?
