Dealer says I have Spark Nock?

I drive a 2013 Camaro SS automatic, I use 93 Ocatne premium, I hear a slight nock or rattle in the front right of the engine area. That's where it sounds like to me the dealer says its louder under it when on the lift at about 1500rpms. They have called GM Engineer and I suppose he told them it was a spark nock, the dealer said they need to find out what is causing it.. What should I expect? Oh yeah the car only has 6500 miles on it

Spark knock with 93-octane fuel? Only if it's bad/old gas. You should never get any spark knock from 91 or above. Notice any loss of power? If not, I call BS on the spark knock theory.

I have used 93 since first fill up, no loss of power noticed just once I hit like a steady 1500rpms like a coast it begins to rattle. I will keep updated on the information back from the dealer thanks for the help! Brand new ordered it from factory too and this is what I get :(

It could knock if he lost an injector, or a plug is messed up.

If they were perfect, why would you need a warranty? All things mechanical fail, old or new.

Maybe you could consider this a spark nock?

No way 93 Octane is causing the knocking sound unless you got a tank full of bad gas. If you've noticed the problem over several fill-ups and got gas from different places then spark knock isn't the problem.

If it only happens when you give it gas, then it sounds like a defective fuel injector to me. If it happens constantly, even at idle, then I'd guess something under the hood was rattling, like not tightened down properly.

Dr.richardbell,

Very sorry to hear about the spark knock as I certainly understand the unease you're feeling. I realize you're seeking community opinions, and wanted to extend an offer of assistance in case you need additional help. Feel free to contact us privately if needed.
