Radar Detectors
I havent had a radar detector in years and back then, I think it was called a passport. Do any of you have a radar detector and what kind seems to be the best? Thanks

Haha those are the best 2 from what I've heard.
OP I recommend you google search both of those and research a lot on personal reviews. My radar detectors are my 2 eyes. See a cop and erkkkkkkk on the brakes!

Lots of cops I know look for the brake lights before pulling you over... just let off the gas, and downshift.

9500IX Hands down. Never had an issue or been pulled over while using it.

There's a new Escort I saw somewhere that is almostly completely hidden and uses remote sensors. I'll try to find it again and post the model number. If it works with the laser shifting system it might be in my future.

I've got the Escort Passport 8500x50...same detection as the 9500ix however it doesn't have the gps capability. No complaints here.

Escort Passport 9500ix!
http://www.escortradar.com/passport9500ix-details.php Caveat: Be aware in Virginia we have those wonderful large, black signs displayed prominently by the roadside as you enter the "Commonwealth", warning visitors that "Radar Detectors Are Illegal". Upon entering VA, the detector may NOT BE WITHIN REACH of either the driver or any passengers. Otherwise, one risks getting a ticket (as per VA state law)
