that's to be expected.

Anytime something new hits the streets (provided it's a great product -- and I don't doubt that Ford did their homework!) -- the sales will take off.... That's why MCE (Mid Cycle Enhancements) are done - sales tend to stagnate by as much as 30 percent once a product enters it's 3rd to 4th year. So we did an MCE on the Camaro for '14 to keep interest alive - along with continually making improvements - and the proof that it works can be seen in sales figures thusfar.

I think the Mustang will be a formidable competitor -- but then again we have this thing called the 6th gen........................

Just like the weatherman, if you keep giving the same forecast over and over it will eventually be right

Go back and read the posts on the topic from 2009 and 2010. Everyone said the pent up demand was responsible for the 2010 Camaro sales surge and no way it would stay ahead of the Mustang. Here we are 5 years later. Not only does the Camaro outsell the Mustang for 5 straight years, actual transaction prices are higher. People see it as the better product and are willing to pay more for it. It helps that Camaro has best in class safety and dependability.

I'm impressed that the Camaro has outsold the mustang for five years and still retains a higher resale value.

Typically resale value goes down based on how many vehicles are available but the camaro stays high. It's pretty amazing.

I'm sure the fact that Camaro starts $30k less than Corvette doesn't play a role in that higher volume at all...
