Ls9 cam

Im thinking of installing ls9 cam in my ls3 camaro...
Need some more info ..
Will i need to change anythig beside the cam and 3 bolt?
Whats the hp gain from that with few bolt-ons and a good tune?

Search for Jason from TSP he posted results from an Ls9 cam and it was only marginal.

IMHO there are waaaay better cams than that.

On an engine dyno.
Less when you get driveline losses.

Search LS9 cam and there's like 14 pages of threads. Search ADM and LS9 cam, or ADM stage 1 cam and they posted before and after dyno's on a completely stock car back in 2009.

It's worth 20 rwhp at peak, more then 20 past peak (increase your rpm limiter with your tune), but you'll give up some power below 3,500rpm.

Idle's at 550 rpm. You don't need to upgrade the valvetrain at all with this cam. I've got 25,000 miles with it in and no issues but I installed it with 800 miles. If you've got high mileage you may want to upgrade a few things.

there are just so much better cams than this one... if I'm going to the trouble of a cam swap, i'm going to want more than 25-30whp...

These results are WITHOUT a tune or C.A.I.. 60rwhp and 50rwtq from headers and $100 cam.

With everything combined it should be pretty good once tuned.
