Looking for an X-pipe?

I was looking for an x-pipe to put in while I am doing my muffler delete on my 2010 Camaro lS3. I did ALOT of searching and found that the correct Magnaflow Part number is 10791. I ordered it from here . I found alot of places that had them for about 84 bucks plus shipping . I finally found it here for $72.05 Delivered free! Just thought I would tell you of a good deal that I found.

is it just me or does this look more like an X pipe than what comes with the ARH system ? To me that looks like 2 pieces of pipe butted up against one another.

Solo Performance! You can buy the x-pipe individually or the whole catback system, which I highly recommend. Here is the link:

Have some questions you MAY have the answer to. I have the Magnaflow street system. . Instead of the x-pipe there is a resonator. Two in / Two out.

Will this xpipe fit exactly in place of that resonator?

If you don't know the answer to this, could you measure the length and with of the xpipe?

Sorry, I do not know the answer to that question but I would bet that a call to the Magnaflow customer assistance line would either yield you and answer!

silly question, but what makes an X-pipe better that just true duals? Seems it would change the note, tone and lope of an engine?

I'm sure the experts will correct me if I'm wrong. But the way I understand it is; that when you combine dual exhaust with an x-pipe you allow one side to help the other with scavenging.

Looks like an X-pipe to me. I have noticed different Mfgs. making different looking X-pipes though. To give a pictorial example, it like "X" vs. "x". Some X-pipes are stretched out long and others are scrunched up short like the OP's.
