I only ask one thing, BB10: Please post here when you DO figure out what it is! Hopefully the dealership can identify it and fix it. If you post it here, it'll be something we can all learn just a little more about cars/ Camaros/ vehicles/ mechanical issues... and how to fix them.

Thanks for all the help guys. I don't think it could be a wheel bearing as it makes the noise very faintly at a dead stop with the ebrake on. It sounds almost metallic.

You got it scalded dog. Before this car I had a 95 trans am lt1. I can't tell you how many times forums saved me.

Damn straight... this forum (and others like it) are excellent sources of info. It sometimes becomes a little tiresome to wade through the trolls and the negativity, but one can certainly glean pearls of wisdom from them!

Just an update here.
I took it in to the dealership and we were unable to pinpoint it exactly. The tech said it was probably an old serpentine belt being that the existing one was glazed. I replaced that and it seemed to help most of the noise. However, I can still faintly hear it. For now its barely audible so I won't sweat it. |
