That Police Suburban is a tank, they can handle pretty much anything. The Camaro held up pretty well considering what it just collided with, Chevy can actually use this to show the braking and crash rating of the car.

Brake's were solid, force went around the car. Good stuff.

yeah well the camaro pretty much ran into a wall with it's crumple zone, whereas the SUV was designed NOT to crumple in the side impact zones as it would likely crush any occupants... But the unfortunate result of this is that the force of the impact is transfered to the inside of the cabin, and that is probably why (according to the TMZ article) the cop had to go to the hospital and the Camaro driver walked away.
