Won't the ATS be comfortable with 18 inch wheels? Optional

Thanks for the analysis of my dream Z28. It's just a dream.

I can wait for that dream, no hurry. I like my 5th Gen SS, so I will drive it for a while and have fun while I wait. Right now it probably would perform at about 95% of the proposed LS7 Z28. Maybe with some lightweight wheels it would be even closer.

A 5th gen Camaro cannot be the Z28 I dream of. Too big and too heavy. My dream Z28 is ATS sized. But I wonder if all that weight savings has created a less than rigid chassis. Looking forward for the full analysis. The goal was to be more robust.

Will you be Pedderizing the ATS? I suppose that higher HP turbo 4 manual will be the car to have.
Could a V6 turbo be V version power or better yet a DI V8?

Oh yes, the V. Forgot about that. Yea that's the one.

If it does get the DI V8 that might make waiting for a Z28 very hard for me. Especially if there is a 4 door version.

After scouring the net, the leading ATS-V rumor is a TT 380 HP V6. I don't believe this if the V is intended to go head to head with the next M3 which is rumored to be closer to 450 hp.

If the ATS-V is priced like an M3, waiting for the next Gen Z28 is a no brainer.

I am hoping the ATS-V gets a DI V8 as that would push the next CTS-V into twin turbo DI V8 territory clearing the way for a DI TT V8 Z/28

I read somewhere that a leaked document from GM listed all the engines in the ATS.
It said, 2.5 base, 2.0 turbo, 3.6, and the V 6.2DI 470hp.
So it should run pretty good considering the 2.0T 270hp with the manual does 0-60 IN 5.7
As far as the cts goes, I'm not sure, but there's some underhood spypics of a TT3.6

Well, the 6th gen camaro will be based on the ATS, so they will share similar drivetrains.
Are we talking about the 5th or 6th now lol, all these threads start to run together after a while.

6th Gen with ATS and I am not sure why anyone would object to a DI V8 that makes more power than the current LS3 in a Camaro that weighs in at 350 to perhaps 500 pounds less. That is a very good SS. Toss in the turbo on the DI V8 and we have ZL1 power in a much lighter chassis.

6th Gen Camaro will likely be based on a modified version of the Alpha RWD platform that underpins the ATS. Much like the 5th Gen being based on a modified Zeta. Drivetrain options won't necessarily be platform specific but rather application specific.

I like the way you think.

While I think there will be a 5th gen Z28, it's all just speculation. If not a few years from now this forum could just morph into 6th Gen speculation.
