Ok, so what do I do with this?
So, I got a 2013 2LS in Black. About a week after I brought her home I noticed the passenger side rear area looked "marred" and "swirly".
I don't own a buffer, but it looks like that is what caused it. The dealership's detailers said they tried to remove it, but they just squirted wax on it. So, I don't know what to do. I've been lurking and reading but with so many options, I don't know what compounds, or swirl X, or scratch X, or whatever to even start with. I use Gold Class Car Wash Soap, a microfiber mitt and microfiber towels. Help me identify what the error was/is and what to do to fix it. Yikes! I would suggest taking it to a pro if you don't know what you are doing. That looks pretty bad.

Check and see if it was damaged and they fixed it,maybe go to a bodyshop and get an opinion from them and then ask the selling dealer what happened see if their story matches.

You can try Meguiar's ScratchX or Swirl X. You can't hurt the car with it just wash that area clean before you use it. You can watch a few youtube videos to make sure you use it correctly.
It's hard to tell from the picture if the clear coat is just scratched up or if the color paint has been redone or something. Try getting the car out in natural light and take a picture with no flash. |

You won't be able to do anything with that without a machine. Wouldn't waste the time or money trying it by hand if I were you. Find a good detailer and he can remove it for you. Shouldn't cost too much if it's just that area.
Edit: after looking at it on my computer, I'm not even sure that can be repaired without painting. That looks nasty, unless it's just the way the flash is hitting it Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

Here is another pic. Flash is still on, but you can see it in full lighting.

In that second pic it almost looks like the paint is bubbling up. Can you feel anything? Or is it smooth

Same spot. No flash.
Without the flash it's barely noticeable. @CamaroDreams07. No it's smooth. |

That will be no problem. It's a common thing. I wouldn't expect they would charge more than $50-75.
