Hey guys by the way thanks for your help, im having trouble getting my order number. I contacted my dealer but all they say is ohh well call you when we have it. is there any other way to get it??? i hope they arent just egging me on and forgot to order it.

If your dealer isn't able to give it to you, no one else can, in most cases.

I think they get the order number when the order is accepted by GM, so if they can't give it to you yet, they probably don't have it. When did you order?

I think it took me about a week to get my number.

I ordered about 2 weeks ago so I mean they should have some kind of update on it.

Yeah when I ordered it they said 6-7 weeks, honestly I highly doubt that it will take 6-7 weeks after looking through everyones posts on this site, everyone has waited like two or three months.

Mine took 2 months (ordered Sept 30, picked up Nov 28). They had told me 8-12 weeks.
I don't really understand the whole allocation thing, but apparently, that has a lot to do with how fast you get your car, as well as if the dealer has other open orders before you that have to be filled.
There are plenty of threads around here about the order process if you want to get more info.

Thanks for your help I appreciate it! im hoping that my time is similar to yours we arent that far away from eachother so my time should be around there.

You are getting jerked around. Plain and simple. When you ordered,by the time you got up to walk out you should of had a six digit code. Also,there is no way a Camaro that is being ordered is going to be delivered in six weeks. You need to get your deposit back and go to a reputable dealer.

That's exactly what im thinking, when we left the sales person said "ohh yeah ill put the order in this afternoon" yeah well this afternoon was about two weeks ago and they still cant supply me with a number.

My dealer gave me my order number the same day I ordered the car.

That doesn't really have anything to do with it, unless you ordered from the same dealer (I got mine from Danbury Chevy.
