Went to the drag strip this weekend and tried 0F/25R. Now I'm having to deal with learning to launch the car all over again. The process I had before that worked pretty good now causes the tires to smoke.
Of course there are alot of factors here. The track make not have been prepped as good. Could be the coilover settings and/or I've also added cradle bushing inserts as well as rear diff bushings since my last time a the track. I only got 4 runs in and by my last one I started getting my 60' back down into the low 2.0 area but my times were still slower than the last time I went out. I also realized I wasn't speed shifting like I did last time either. Next time I think I'm going to try 3F/25R and see if it helps at all. I'm also going to try to pay more attention to the shifting and not let off the throttle once I leave the line. Hope to make it to an AutoX event at the beginning of Nov as well.

wouldnt softer be better on the dragstrip in the rear? I have never been so I dont know but I would think the softer setting in the rear would help the car "sit" more...

No drag radials though. I'm still on stock tires running 25 psi in the rear and put the fronts at 40 psi. Guess I might try 0/20 next time. With only 4 runs I was changing my launch RPM where I guess I should've tried a couple coilover settings.

I ran 3 front/20 rear at the track today. Managed a 1.88 60' on the P-Zero's. Could probably do better than that, I was babying it off the line.

I would be real happy with that on stock tires. The best I've got was 1.98 but typically I'm in the very low 2.0 60' times. I'll definately give those settings a try next time. BTW: PM (trying not to side track this thread) what psi you ran in the rear tires. I typically run 25 psi and 40 psi in the front.

For street I have it very soft - 10f/8r. Did 1 autox so far and had it at 19f/12r - will go a lot stiffer next time around - but it definitely felt good.
