Lightbulb Different?

Yup, I had to be different. Everyone's emblems from Roger look great, but I wanted something else, and Roger came through for me! Almost everything on the car is either red or black, (painting tail lamp bezels soon,) so I wanted the same for my 1LE emblems, too. I also wanted them to be a bit understated.

What do you-all think?

I have the emblem for the grill as well, but am waiting on the special mount that Roger's sending me right now. I'll post a photo of it when I get it mounted.

My thinking has always been that factory hoods only had engine-related emblems on them, (cowl/air induction, engine size, etc.,) so suspension-related emblems went elsewhere. Later this summer I'm going to order the ZL1 rockers that come from Gary's Custom's with the 1LE emblossed on them like the concept car. Like I said, everyone else's emblems look great, but I had to be different! Love y'all, and keep posting!

Tara

PS...sorry about the iPhone photo crapiness

Got mine on, spacing might not be right, but I like them. They look good.

As a tip for the rear, I blue taped a line under the SS emblem before I took it off and used it as a guide for the new one

I decided to leave the hood emblems off, and I think I'll just sell them off.

Okay, I found the grill mount. It was smaller than I expected, but I installed it post haste. I also included a slightly better photo of the rear emblem.

Cheers!

Tara..... for thinking outside the box on the 1LE emblems!!

racerx1214.....is the 1LE emblem for the grill the smallest size Emblem Pro's offers? Would it fit under the trunk "SS" without looking cramped?

Everyone's choice of emblem colors and location looks awesome.....I'm trying so hard to resist the temptation to tamper with factory perfection

When I paint my strut tower brace I want to put a 1LE emblem in the center of it.....but then I feel guilty hiding such a nice emblem

It's the smallest he has listed, but he may be able to cut one smaller. IMO with it being the same size as the SS it would look crowded. But if you want to keep the ss emblem, a same size 1LE on the opposite side of the trunk would look pretty good.

This is where our design came from, and GM is very specific on designs Being exact.
In fact: they will not approve them, if they are not correct.

No worries! Thanks!

My emblems did not have smooth edges... Any advice in filing them down once they are already on the car?

I had to take them off. I didn't think much of it till I washed the hood and got fibers stuck all over.
Ill be looking for a set that are like the zl1 factory stile. I like the shape of the zl1 badge or should I say profile ?

Assuming yours were installed on the vinyl hood wrap, did the adhesive from the emblem show on the vinyl after you took them off? Did removing them damage the vinyl wrap? How difficult were they to remove?

I too am thinking about taking them off and waiting for something closer to the ZL1 style profile to be made.
