Cool Flowmaster Mufflers Only

Hey every one, Im gonna be getting a set of Flowmaster Mufflers instead of the whole axle back system, basically to save money and just for the sound rather then performance...Which seires would give me the deepest loudest badd A$$ sound of them all, and which size/inlet/outlet are the proper mufflers to fit on.

Thanks!!

I went to a muffler shop about 2 months ago and tried to do this. He called Flowmaster to see if there was a muffler that would fit and they said no. I asked the muffler shop if they could make one fit and they said no to that also. I ended up buying the Borla Stinger axle back.

How well do you trust this shop? Something doesn't sound right about that to me. Granted I'm going with deletes, but I'd think they should be able to make them fit.

Wow, that' s a good way to lose a customer...They could have always just fabricated a bit of tubing to make it fit.

ZulaKilla, have you asked your local shop about being able to do the work?

I have Flowmaster...

I had Flowmaster put on my car. I think they are something kind of standard, and I believe they were called 2 chamber or something. It definitely sounded better than it did from the factory, and they didn't say anything about having to "make" them work, they just put them on. I went back and had the two resonators removed and had plain pipe put in their place to give it a bit more sound. I would still like it a little louder, but will probably just leave it the way it is. And before you say anything about me not knowing exactly what was put on, I am a female, and just told them I wanted Flows put on...

I had 40's on my car also. They sounded great. I deleted resonators also. They do fit but are very tight. I would go with Super 44's if I were you. I have heard good things about them as well.

FLOWMASTERS

I came accross a link somewhere on thi site that showed a vid.of a guy installing a set of flowmaster replacement "mufflers only" on a 2010.
I didn,t get the p/n but all he did was cut the pipe like 10" before the stock muff. with a sawsall and slid them out then slid the new f/m in place.
They come w/hangers & fit gnd.af cars.
Really slick.
I WILL find the p/n because this is what I am going with
