headlights...............yes. aftermarket and i think GM also.

as far as the autostart..........my Silverado and Acadia didn't come with it, but the hardware was standard as i believe all GM cars are now. all i had to do was pay GM Parts $300 for the fancy keyfob and have it programmed by service dept. i would imagine ur 1SS is the same way.

just call ur GM parts dept and give them ur VIN. they can look at ur build codes and the keyfobs to let ya know.

There is no option from GM to add the halo headlights separately. You either get it from the factory with the RS package or you have to go aftermarket.

Remote start would also have to be aftermarket.

Unless you want to spend 5K, the answer is NO to retrofitting the GM Halo/HID lights. Wait for the aftermarket and it will be much less of a headache. When you look at the schematics of an RS car, you will quickly forget that idea.

Yes to both.

There is plenty of aftermarket remote start companies and you might be able to get it from GM too.

The halo/hid lights can be bought from GM for $1,400-$1,500 for both sides and includes installation. Aftermarket lights can also be bought but they tend not to be as reliable and don't last as long as OEM HID's and they are not DOT approved and are a hazard for other drivers on the road. In some areas they are illegal due to the hazards they pose to other drivers.

That's interesting. Where do you get the extra lead wire from?

I see no point in ordering the Halo's from GM after the fact since they will cost the same price as the entire RS package.

How are the oem HID headlights brought from GM. And do they function the same as on the RS package( do the fog lights function as DRLs, etc)
