Question A Header Question...

So I have solo cat back exhaust and I am planning on getting long tube headers. My first question is: Is it any way possible to install long tubes with out throwing an engine code? My next question is: How difficult is it to install long tubes? Is it something that a couple of friends and I could do?

Thanks

Kooks with their new Green cats do not throw a code. They do cost twice as much as a normal cat however. They will work fine with your Solo exhaust. Install takes about two hours with a lift if you know what you are doing. A little longer on jack stands. If you have questions, or want pricing, feel free to call us at the number in the sig.

Apparently it doesn't work. Honestly, don't try to cheat, do it right with green cats or a tune.

I was looking on your website and I came across these

Stainless Power Long Tube Headers (1 7/8" x 3") with Catted Connection Pipes - 2010-2012 Camaro SS 6.2L V8
Part#: SPCA11HDRCATST

Are these going to bolt right up to my solo cat back exhaust or is there going to be more labor than just that?

FYI the ones that you are talking about are not the Green Cats, those are just regular cats.

Correct. Only Kooks sells green cats. The other header brands all sell their headers with standard high flow cats, which will throw a code. Stainless Power is a good value brand..just know up front, they only have a 2 year warranty, not lifetime like many other headers.
