I puled the trigger and don't regret it one bit - they look like they belong on the car and help keep it clean.

Plus you had some luxury cars that even had that panel that covered the top half of the rear wheels.

The panels were called skirts. Not only did it block dirt but it was a fashion statement in the 50s and sixties that gave it a more lowered look.

Yep I'd never drive my Camaro in this land of Salt and Sand. It goes down for a long winters nap as soon as the first Snow hits the ground. It will stay there until the spring rain has washed away all the sand on the roads in April >>

Put the splash guards on my 2011 Camaro and they are very functional. My friend said he doesn't know if he likes them but if they keep my Camaro free from chips, it's all good. And also put on Blizzak tires and traction is surprisingly good. Maybe if I win the lotto I can park the Camaro for the winter.

IMO the splash guards take away from the look of the car way more then a few paint chips.

Anyone have them on their black Maro? Just like to see what it looks like, but I suspect on a black car they aren't as noticable...

If anyone is interested in a set of painted CGM GM splash guards let me know. Will let them go cheap. Only used the front set for about 1,000 miles, never installed rear. They looked great. I have the Razzi body kit now, so no need for them anymore

The splash guards will slightly protect the side of the car but not completely. You have to remember rocks do not bounce straight... so the cars passing you or coming the other direction will throw rocks up. The gills flare out and pick up the damage. Getting a clear bra on that area of the car is the only way to completely protect them. Plus they are cheaper than the spalsh guards and look much better... because you cant see them.

I had the 3M Clear Bra done. I was not sure about the splash guards

Since my car is a Daily driver I needed some sort of protection. And the Clear Bra protects way more than just the splash guards alone would have.

My front bumper, hood, front fenders, the lower part of the fender behind the tire, full rockers, front quarter entire gill area, full door (yes the entire door), rear quarters, and entire windshield pillars are done I even had the Convertible top catch/latch area done. Oh I forgot to mention the headlamps are done too.

My installer normally does high end cars so he gave my Camaro the full treatment.
