New ID 850 injectors make noise at first??

So I just:

-Swapped manifold and lid gasket
- JRE fuel line mod
- 850 ID injectors
- 3.25 pulley

WHEN I first started it , it was really quiet and rough as it got fuel. Then there was some clacking coming from SC sounded like valve train....I was worried I got something in there WHEN I did the lid.. I said screw it and took it for a drive...although it's running rich I was 5 to 70 mph extremely quick.

Now it's whining a bit at idle but the clacking is gone could that have been the Injectors?

Did you update the tune for the increased flow? They come with injector data just for that reason...

Lol thanks! It's been a heck of a journey for sure..

I asked those questions since I didn't see anything noted about that. The ZL1 pump and FPCM are the big step to fully used those. Glad the tune was updated! I had a 'flutter' noise when I first installed the 850s and it went away after 10 minutes of running.

The Bo TB is awesome BTW ;o)

Cool I bet that is what it was I was ridiculously ocd about the supercharger when I had it apart, I don't see how a
I could had done anything and it seemed to quiet down. NOW I need to figure out the whine, maybe the belt needs to be changed.

Thanks for the heads up on the Bo White I was on the fence but you sealed the deal!

Oh I get the OCD... believe you me ;o)

Really like the Bo TB... smooth response for sure. Whine? I like the whine in mine ;o)

I'd also check belt alignment in the grooves of the pulleys... sometimes a belt out of line can add stress...

since nobody answered your question I will throw in my $.02. From a sample of one I can tell you that my ID850's did not make any noise nor have they for the last 20K miles. YMMV.

Go in there and double check to make sure all the injector O rings are seated properly. Maybe one got pinched and is letting un metered air in causing funkyness.

Im on a ZL1 pump / ADM FPCM / 85 LB FIC's
