Going from 18's to stock 20's on LS

Is it okay to just use the stock 20's without a tune when switching from 18's. I have heard of having to adjust the spedometer and stuff, but is it really necessary? I have an LS

If you're switching to OEM wheels and tires (20's or 21's) you don't have to mess with anything because the Over all Diameter will remain the same.
